SIAF is short for Southwestern Illinois Housing Advancement Fund.

Everyone who is signatory to the Carpenters' District Council of Greater St. Louis and Vicinity pays an hourly portion to support the efforts of the SIAF Board. The contractors pay $.12 per employee, per hour worked. These funds have been put into a savings account that is currently being managed by a Board who was appointed by the Carpenters' District Council.

The SIAF Board was designed to promote the Home Building Industry and by doing this promote man hours, providing a better quality of living for all those involved.

This SIAF Board will serve a term of office from August 2004 thru August 2005. A new campaign for interested candidates will probably begin in the month of June, this will ensure that the candidates have time to promote themselves and an election can be held. All contractors signatory will be permitted and encouraged to vote.
